I am going to spend the rest of today with a couple of the characters in the next book that I am writing, another crime thriller. Baldo and Claire are back, and at halfway through the story, well into it. I listen to them and I talk to them, but mostly I watch them. I am the omniscient observer, I find, when I write in the third person singular voice. Often, I have questions for them but they are much too busy to interrupt at the moment. I can't stop Baldo in a frenzy over a crime to talk to him about his favorite food there (here, actually) in Le Marche. He might turn to me and ask why I am interested in something so trivial when I know very well that all of the food there (here) is fabulous. So I follow them around in the adventure. It really is quite amazing. I created these to people and now they run much of my life!
